Green 2.0 Fellowship
Who We Are
Green 2.0 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that believes the voices and leadership of a truly powerful environmental movement must be as diverse as the causes it champions. Today, people of color are the most likely to be harmed by environmental problems and have the highest rates of support for environmental causes, but remain severely underrepresented on the staff and boards of foundations, environmental non-governmental organizations and federal agencies. Green 2.0’s mission is to ensure that the environmental movement is committed to justice, equity, inclusion, and diversity, and recognizes the leadership of people of color at every level of the movement. Green 2.0 is motivated by:
- A desire for a more racially diverse environmental movement;
- A movement that integrates equity and justice into its work; and
- The belief that these changes will position organizations to win environmental battles and produce equitable environmental outcomes for those most impacted, especially people of color.

Fellowship Timing
Green 2.0 has fellowship sessions 3 times a year that begin in the months below:
- Winter (January Start)
- Fall (August/September Start)
- Summer (May/June Start)
Summer 2023 applications will be accepted starting February 27th and will close on March 27th.
What We Need
An excited team player who is interested in contributing to quantitative and quantitative data who can support report data and research on organizations and foundations, in addition to ensuring accuracy of all reports. They will lead and support projects related to the report card, Congressional outreach, strategic communications, foundations and grants and deepen relationships with environmental groups, business and other stakeholders. The fellow will also support and attend virtual events on behalf of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on diversity in the environmental movement
- Build, maintain, and update research data, congressional and communications lists
- Draft letters and other written materials for external and internal stakeholders
- Write briefs and memos for Green 2.0 staff
- Lead and supports logistics and content for virtual events
- Attend conferences and workshops on behalf of Green 2.0
- Engage with environmental organizations, foundations, elected official staff and other key stakeholders.
Compensation
Fellows will be compensated with a $6,500 stipend for the term of the fellowship (3 months)

Overall Function
The Manager for Justice & Equity Learning will help increase organizational capacity and accountability for justice and equity at EDF. This includes developing and overseeing with Justice & Equity (J&E) team leaders the implementation of a training plan to ensure all staff members have the knowledge to engage in meaningful partnerships and advance equitable systemic change. It also includes developing and delivering assessments to measure learning; and strategically adapting training curricula as needed. The ideal candidate for this role will have expertise in organizational training and learning design, and knowledge of environmental justice, and equity. This position will report to the Senior Director, Justice & Equity Strategy.

About the Environment Program
The Environment Program focuses on climate change and clean energy, as well as Western conservation. We are committed to clearly identifying our goals and measuring progress toward them. About the Position
The Program Associates (PAs) will support the climate initiative of the Environment Program. Reporting to a Program Officer, this individual manages the administrative aspects of the grantmaking process and communicates with grantees regarding proposals, budgets, and grant reports. The Program Associates may also research issues, programs, and organizations to assess their potential fit with Hewlett Foundation funding strategies. These individuals will also support strategy development and implementation.
Blue Sky Fund is a local Richmond non-profit based in Church Hill. Our mission is to provide transformational experiences for Richmond youth through outdoor education through two core program areas- academic and adventure. The Academic Program Manager (APM) wil be responsible for the planning and management of program logistics, curriculum, staff, and partners for our elementary program, Explorers. Under the supervision of the Programs Director, a successful APM will steward the relationships with the principals and teachers at our 12 Richmond Public School partner schools; hire, train, and evaluate program staff (17-22 people); and lead the development and execution of program curriculum.
About Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado
Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) is a leading statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to motivating and enabling people to become active stewards of Colorado’s natural resources. Colorado’s outdoor resources contribute greatly to our health, happiness and state economy, but they also face ongoing stresses and require care and stewardship to ensure long-term sustainability. Leveraging nearly 40 years of experience in outdoor stewardship volunteerism, we engage 5,000 volunteers in hands-on stewardship work each year. We also help other groups develop and grow effective volunteer programs to meet Colorado’s growing stewardship needs. Finally, we foster statewide, cross-industry collaboration to encourage a unified approach to caring for Colorado.
Position Overview
The Community Programs Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt permanent position that reports to the Community Programs Manager and is responsible for coordinating and delivering VOC’s strategic engagement programs designed to broaden the variety of people involved in outdoor stewardship. This includes planning, implementing, and evaluating existing programing, such as the Healthy Community Program (HCPs), Affinity Partnership Program (APPs), Cairn Program, Grossman Program, youth and family programming, OSI trainings, Team Stewardship Days (TSDs), and various public volunteer projects. A large portion of this role includes field-based work, especially with diverse audiences, that requires project management and planning skills and the ability to lead outdoor stewardship projects.

The mission of the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is to enhance the quality of life in our community by protecting and improving Montgomery County’s air, water, and land in a sustainable, innovative, inclusive, and industry-leading way while fostering smart growth, a thriving more sustainable economy and healthy communities.
DEP is seeking a Public Services Intern to support the Stream Monitoring Section. The Stream Monitoring Intern will gain hands-on experience and exposure to biological monitoring protocols while part of the team assessing stream health in Montgomery County for up to 24 hours per week for the summer and fall semesters. The intern will spend considerable time outside working with staff collecting biological, physiochemical, geomorphic and habitat data in various locations throughout the county. The experience gained in data analysis, GIS and database systems will be applied to available data to produce and assist in the characterization of the Montgomery County watersheds. Upon successful completion, individuals will understand the concepts, principles and procedures used by the County to assess stream health. Knowledge of procedures will be demonstrated by field audits or tests while feedback to the intern will be provided during bi-weekly meetings.
This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a County vehicle to transport biological, geomorphic, water quality, and stream hydrology monitoring equipment and conduct monitoring site visits at various locations throughout Montgomery County that may not be accessible via public transportation.
The work entails field work in streams around Montgomery County. The work is primarily performed out-of-doors, along stream banks and in streams and ponds, and may involve deep or swiftly moving water. It also requires light physical effort such as walking over rough, uneven, slippery, or rocky surfaces; bending, crouching, stooping, stretching or reaching; and occasional lifting of objects.

The new President will lead implementation of a new Strategic Plan, work closely with staff and increase resources. Within the strategic plan, the new President must focus on branding and awareness, fortifying the current programming and culture and building the pipeline of projects for climate equity at both the domestic and international levels.
Reporting to the Board of Directors and working with a passionate and committed staff of 57 individuals, the ISC President is responsible for the overall leadership and management of this $10 million Institute, including strategic direction, finances, fundraising, programs, staff and external relations with funders, community partners and others. The President is charged with achieving the mission and goals of ISC in a manner that is fiscally sound and reflects best practices in nonprofit management.
ISC seeks a proven, accomplished leader, with a deep passion for the mission. This person will bring a courageous and inspiring vision to ISC, as well as the ability to lead and execute bold strategic plans that produce effective and trusting international and domestic partnerships, dissemination and scaling of best practices, brand visibility and financial sustainability for the organization.
The candidate must demonstrate experience in organizational management and the ability to build and nurture a culture that is grounded in a shared vision, vibrant in teamwork, supported by mutual respect and unrelenting in its pursuit of quality solutions to the negative impacts of climate change. An understanding of how to form collaborative, people-focused partnerships is essential, as is the proven ability to lead a staff that is diverse with respect to race, culture, nationality, gender and generational differences. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on both climate impact and equity. This person must be ready to join with the Board and staff to lead ISC in pursuing new strategic goals in conservation and advocacy within a framework of racial equity and social justice.
A bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university is required; an advanced degree is strongly preferred. The candidate must have a minimum of five to ten years of senior managerial experience leading a nonprofit or private organization. Background in nonprofit education, working with minority, refugee or low-income communities is preferred. Fluency in more than one language is highly desirable. While ISC headquarters are located in Montpelier, Vermont, the organization is highly decentralized across multiple continents and remote applicants are welcome to apply.
The salary range for this position is between $250,000 to $275,000 and will be commensurable with experience. She/He/They will maintain and develop stakeholder relationships that deliver scale and expanded affiliate and network opportunities for growth and programmatic sustainability and will be instrumental in leading collaborations with state and big city network partners to advance a common policy agenda and connected relationships. The SVP will develop, build support for, and implement strategies to support and cultivate deeper understanding of state agency relationships and their connection to federal policy and opportunities. In addition, the SVP will elevate and lead positioning for the organization on federal funding policies and opportunities for mission impact. The SVP will also, in partnership with the CEO, build and maintain key stakeholder partnerships including sector associations and policy working groups.
This role will also play an important role in providing expertise and support for two multi-stakeholder collaborations around litter data and water/litter/climate adaptation.
