ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Akinyi Chemutai is an Environmentalist focused on restoration, circular economy, climate change, renewable energy and ESG (Environment, Social and Governance). For five years, she has been a strategic and analytical renewable energy Program Manager with extensive experience coordinating technical and financial aspects of projects in the sector; complementary background managing projects in sustainability and circularity roles. She is currently the Grant Manager for Africa in d.light. She is also currently Regional Lead of WiRE (Women in Renewable Energy) working on advancing the role and recognition of women & other under-represented groups working in the renewable energy sector. She is also a Co-Coordinator of GLFx Nairobi chapter that focuses on landscape restoration especially in urban landscapes and advocates for the urgency for sustainable landscapes through youth and women leadership.
