ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Anders C. Yang, JD is the former Chief Development Officer at the Natural Resources Defense Council. While at NRDC, he oversaw rapid growth in the development staff, laying the groundwork for an ambitious $1 billion fundraising campaign. While a member of the Executive Team at NRDC, he was keenly aware of the importance of an inclusive and open workforce, reflective of NRDC’s diverse membership. He is an advocate for healthy and thriving communities, free of toxic environmental factors. With his lived experience, he has a keen interest in environmental justice issues.

Additionally, he is a champion for disability and cancer rights, especially in the workplace. He is an honors graduate of Harvard Law School and the University of California, Berkeley. He also studied at the University of St. Andrews. As a volunteer and as a professional, he has raised funds in record-breaking campaigns for a number of causes – and is passionate about leveraging resources for maximum impact. He retired from the University of California system, having worked at the UCSF, UCLA, UC Irvine, and UC Berkeley campuses.
