ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Anna is a strategic climate and community resilience expert, convener, and facilitator who embarked on this chapter of her life after an earlier career in film and television. She has supported organizations and practitioners at all scales of government (local, regional, state, federal) through her work at the Institute for Sustainable Communities, National League of Cities, and the Pew Charitable Trusts. Her expertise ranges from strategic planning and facilitation to grantmaking and supporting public sector staff, elected leaders, and nonprofit organizations with direct technical assistance on climate and community resilience, nature-based solutions, and climate migration. Through these engagements, Anna has fostered a robust network of cross-sector colleagues across North America. She is passionate about fostering connections between human communities and those of the natural world and is well recognized in the field for her engaging and honest communication style, as well as her ability to connect and collaborate with a wide range of people.

She received an MS in Environmental Policy at The New School in New York City and a BA in Comparative Literature from Boston University. Anna has lived in Canada, France, and Colombia, and speaks fluent French, Spanish, and some Farsi. She currently resides in Washington D.C. and works as an independent consultant.
