ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Boratha is the Midwest Regulatory Manager for Vote Solar. He focuses on providing expert testimony in utility rate and grid cases, advocating for more equitable considerations in rate making and grid planning. Specifically, Boratha has analyzed correlations between outages of electricity and demographic data (such as BIPOC and AMI census information). Boratha is also involved in different state-based energy policies in Illinois and Michigan, advocating for equity in the clean energy transition. Boratha received a bachelor of mechanical engineering at Villanova University and a master of public policy at the University of Michigan. Prior to Vote Solar, Boratha worked at Ford Motor Company prototyping and testing next-generation electric vehicles.
