ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Brian Chou supports WWF’s Ocean Futures initiative and its supply chain sustainability and transformation work. He collaborates with industry-leading corporate partners and engages their supply chains to set commitments around sustainable seafood sourcing, monitor their progress, and report on it for multiple audiences. He also informs the Oceans strategy around fisheries engagement, mitigating ecosystem impacts, and marine resource management through market data. [new paragraph] Brian has become an active leader of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) initiatives for the Oceans team and WWF, where he founded the employee resource group, APEX, that supports and advocates for the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community at WWF and in conservation. He will also support the Oceans Futures team’s Environmental Peacebuilding initiative that will explore and develop solutions for the intersections between climate, fisheries and aquaculture, and natural resource conflict. [new paragraph] Brian graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (with an Operations and Supply Chain Management focus) and a minor in Quantitative Science (through the School of Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences).
