Maria is originally from Argentina and has lived in the United States for the last 18 years. She has a passion for wildlife conservation that led her to receiving a degree in veterinary medicine and a PhD in wildlife management and conservation biology. Since then, Maria has worked in academia, government, and private industry. In 2018 she co-founded Resolve Conservation. Through Resolve, she is helping conservation and environmental organizations implement new methodologies to change organizational culture, grow leadership capacity and address complex conservation problems through a more equitable and just lens. To do so she helps conservation organizations become more inclusive and representative of the people they serve through teaching adaptive leadership, systems thinking and design thinking workshops. Maria holds certifications in teaching Adaptive Leadership (Harvard Kennedy School), teaching Case and Point for effective facilitation (Kansas Leadership institute) and is an approved facilitator of Immunity to Change (Minds at Work Boston). She is a certified somatic practitioner and an intuitive coach.
