ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Jean Zhuang is a senior attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center. She leads the point sources group on the Water Team, working toward SELC’s regional goals to rein in industrial and other types of point source pollution flowing into our rivers, lakes, and streams; and to ensure that industrial polluters comply with the Clean Water Act. She identifies strategic goals and helps ensure that efforts across SELC’s offices are coordinated.

Jean is also the regional PFAS litigator, helping to litigate cases related to these toxic “forever chemicals” throughout the six states served by SELC. Originally from South Florida, she graduated from Yale University in 2013 with a B.A. in Art and went on to earn her J.D. in May 2016 from the University of Virginia Law School.
