ABOUT THE EXPERT:
Manisha Rattu (she/her) works to center equity, uplift environmental justice principles, and strive toward a just future through equitable climate policy development at the city and community level. Manisha currently works as a Climate Equity Consultant through Upright Consulting Services and Kapwa Consulting. Manisha began her journey as a climate advocate and grassroots organizer in the East Bay, CA a decade ago when she organized fellow students and residents against a proposed crude oil terminal. At the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Manisha returned to her hometown and co-founded a youth grassroots organization for which she served as the Climate Action Lead. She works closely with local nonprofits and local government staff to center equity in climate policies and development plans. Manisha is a 2016 UCSC Doris Duke Conservation Scholars alumni and holds a BS ’19 and MS ’20 in Earth Systems from Stanford.
