ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Sara takes care of Elemental’s Equity & Access strategy and program in partnership with our Equity & Access team and works to ensure this is clear and embedded across the organization through the ‘Equity In/Equity Out’ theory of change. Sara focuses on the unique opportunity Elemental has to center frontline communities in creating the solutions to climate change by supporting the Elemental team’s Equity & Access frameworks, partnership models, and communities of practice as a key part of investment into climate tech companies.

Prior to Elemental Excelerator, Sara was at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission where she worked on local, state, and federal policy and managed special projects across the utility’s water, wastewater, and power enterprises. Sara is also a former Greenlining Institute Environmental Equity fellow. Sara is a proud alum of Emory University where she studied English and concentrated on literature of marginalized people. A graduate of Howard University School of Law, she enjoys the unique opportunity Elemental has to be a platform, connector, and trusted accomplice for those solving climate and inequity at the same time.
