Latinx Youth Leading the Environmental Movement Social Media Toolkit

Latinx communities face some of the biggest challenges from environmental hazards and injustice, with over half the Latinx population in the U.S. living in states that are already seeing the serious consequences of climate change. The importance of including Latinx communities in the conversation about solutions to environmental malpractices has never been higher. This Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, as we celebrate all we’ve accomplished, we must also look to the future of the environmental movement–Latinx youth.

Join Green 2.0 for a discussion with Latinx youth leaders in the environmental movement about their experiences, how adults can be partners in their work, and how young people can be agents of change.

Event Date and Time: Thursday, October 14, 2021, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM ET

Panelists:
Opening remarks by Adriane Alicea, Deputy Director, Green 2.0
Daphne Frias, Youth Activist and Organizer
