On the August 28th, 2014 edition of Your Call, we’ll have a conversation about how people of color are under significantly underrepresented in environmental groups, especially at the leadership level. A recent study calls it a “green ceiling”, noting that people of color make up only 12-16% of most environmental organizations. How is this affecting the priorities and strategies of the environmental movement? What can we do to insure that populations most vulnerable to climate change and pollution, such as low-income, city dwellers, and people of color, have a say in the movement?
