ABOUT THE EXPERT:

As the Senior Climate Resilience Associate, Dira primarily works with the Charles River Climate Compact (CRCC), a partnership of twenty-eight watershed communities that takes a watershed approach to climate change impacts to design and implement regional climate adaptation projects, including increased advocacy efforts and implementation of Nature-Based Solutions. Dira is also a certified Green Infrastructure Practitioner (GIP) through the National Green Infrastructure Certification Program. Dira has a B.S. and an M.Sc in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a background in aquatic toxicology research. Prior to joining CRWA, Dira volunteered as an educator at the New England Aquarium, where she grew her interest in bridging the world of science and public communication.
