ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Jasmine is a PhD student at UC Berkeley’s Energy and Resources Group, with an interest in clean energy, climate resilience, and social equity. Previously, she was a Senior Program Officer with the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners where she developed educational programs and resources for state public utility commissions on issues including transportation electrification, energy justice, nuclear energy, and carbon capture. Prior to joining NARUC, Jasmine was an associate analyst with Abt Associates where she provided technical assistance to The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) State and Local Climate and Energy Program on stakeholder outreach and policy. While at Abt, she also supported the EPA’s Office of Emergency Management, conducting evaluations on regional emergency preparedness and response exercises and developing after action reports following hurricane and wildfire disasters. Jasmine also worked as a research technician with the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Institute of Marine Sciences where she helped investigate the ecological effects of sea-level rise in North Carolina’s marsh habitats. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Brown University.
