Asian-American and Pacific Islanders have for too long faced environmental malpractice in their communities. However, the mainstream environmental movement, which remains overwhelmingly White, has historically not included the leadership and voices of AAPI’s in decisions that impact them the most. As we work together to create a more equitable environmental movement, we must remember that the experiences of staff of color must be centered in order to foster workplaces that allow all staff to thrive.
