ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Anita López MPP (She/Ella) is an ambitious and committed health and climate equity champion whose 30-year career has served communities affected by historic policy disinvestment and institutional harms that yield disparate health and economic outcomes for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) populations. As the founder of SoyLópez Consulting, she offers a diverse toolbox collected over 25 years in public health education, civic engagement, equity analysis, and program management to build collective action and pathways toward lifelong health and financial prosperity for all.

She is a trained facilitator who understands the dynamics of resident-led policy advocacy for systems and environmental change. As the co-founder of the California Eco-Network, she leads trainings on the intersections of health and climate resiliency, with a focus on economic development and developing diverse climate-centered workforce pathways. She has earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, with a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Mills College in Oakland, CA.
