ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Carolina dedicated her career to sustainable development, working alongside international agencies to address pressing environmental challenges. Collaborating with these agencies has given it the opportunity to facilitate technical assistance and knowledge exchange for the transition to clean energy in more than 30 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Between 2022-2023, Carolina led the Latino engagement program, EcoMadres of Moms Clean Air Force, an affiliate of the Environmental Defense Fund. With this experience, Carolina worked closely with congressional offices, where he gained a deep understanding of the legislative process and public policy development.

Carolina’s passion for environmental justice continues to drive her to seek sustainable solutions that not only address environmental challenges but also promote equity and inclusion, leaving no one behind. She firmly believes that collective efforts can lead to a more just and environmentally responsible world for present and future generations.

Carolina has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in Environment and Energy Management and is a member of the Climate Reality Project. She is a native of Bolivia and currently lives in Arlington, Virginia.
