ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Cassidy Childs is a research associate for International Climate Policy at the Center for American Progress (CAP). Prior to joining CAP, Cassidy worked on the implementation of Justice40 at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. At CAP, Cassidy leads the international climate justice portfolio, pushing progress for loss and damage, adaptation and resilience, and climate finance.

She graduated from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs with a Master’s in Public Administration in environmental science and policy. She earned bachelor’s degrees in political science and society and environment from the University of California at Berkeley. Cassidy is deeply passionate about centering equity and justice within environmental and climate issues.
