ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Geniro Dingle is Director for Justice & Equity at Greenpeace USA. In this role, he is responsible for leading the effort to embed justice and equity in Greenpeace and ensure alignment across all aspects of the organizational strategy and impact. Previously he worked at United Way Worldwide(UWW) as Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from 2018-2022. As Director his primary responsibility was increasing the knowledge and use of DEI as a critical business imperative for UWW and its network of United Ways. Geniro’s passion for mission-driven service started during his fellowship with the Ohio Student Association (OSA) while studying at The University of Akron. As an OSA fellow Geniro worked with other student organizers on higher education issues including student debt. Geniro started his career in the nonprofit sector as a community organizer for the Ohio Organizing Collaborative in his hometown of Akron, OH. His next role was with Housing Up, a small nonprofit in Washington, DC committed to ending homelessness in our nation’s capital. This direct service work paired with his experience as a community organizer has made Geniro a fierce champion for working-class people.
