ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Innocent is an Environmental Engineer and Project Manager at the Water Quality Bureau, of the Department of Natural Resources, Des Moines, Iowa. His focus is on Water and Wastewater Treatment, Water Quality [Lakes Assessments, and Per- and Polyfluorinated Substances (PFAS) removal in environment], and Green Energy [Climate Change, and Energy Sustainability]). He works on sustainable solutions to common issues like construction permitting in wastewater, recycling, waste disposal and pollution. He was a 2022 summer intern on National Lakes Assessments (NLA) – a USEPA 5-year project, at the Department of Environmental Quality, Bismarck, North Dakota. He was formerly with the Petroleum Geology Research Library, of the Oil and Gas Division of the Department of Mineral Resources, Grand Forks, North Dakota. His dedication to environmental health and public health is deeply rooted, stemming from his previous experiences working to promote environmental sustainability in the world. He is passionate about driving clean energy initiatives and addressing the pressing global challenge of climate change. He is a consultant and an advisor to Nigeria’s federal and state government agencies on environmental sustainability, water quality, and adaptation to the impacts of climate change where he actively advocates for policies focused on climate awareness, environmental sustainability, and water quality.
