ABOUT THE EXPERT:
Innocent is currently a graduate student at the University of North Dakota (Grand Forks, ND), pursuing a doctorate (PhD) degree in Environmental Engineering and Climate Change (with focus on Water Quality [Lakes Assessments, and Per- and Polyfluorinated Substances (PFAS) removal in environment], and Green Energy [Climate Change, and Energy Sustainability]).
He works on sustainable solutions to common issues like recycling, waste disposal and pollution. He was a 2022 summer intern on National Lakes Assessments (NLA) – a USEPA 5-year project, at ND Department of Environmental Quality. His dedication to environmental health and public health is deeply rooted, stemming from his previous experiences working to promote environmental sustainability in the world. He is passionate about driving clean energy initiatives and addressing the pressing global challenge of climate change. He is an advisor to Nigeria’s federal and state government agencies on water quality, and adaptation to the impacts of climate change where he actively advocates for policies focused on climate awareness, environmental sustainability, and water quality.
