ABOUT THE EXPERT:

Sasha Gilmore is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Earth and Environment. She wishes to focus her research on terrestrial and marine heat waves and the impacts it has on vulnerable urban communities. Her previous work during undergrad focused on Greenland’s flora and fauna and the effects that our changing climate had on their livelihoods. In her free time, Sasha enjoys hiking, baking, and exploring new places around the city with friends.

Sasha was born in Los Angeles, CA. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Geography from Dartmouth College.
