Who We Are:

What We Need:
We are seeking an experienced Development Consultant (individual or organization) who can advise Green 2.0 on development strategy, draft grant proposals and reports, and cultivate new fundraising streams for the organization.
Scope of Work:
- Research prospective funders to understand funding eligibility and timelines.
- Write and submit grant letters of inquiries, applications, and interim and final grant reports. Track all deadlines and progress of proposals to prospective funders and reports to current funders.
- Assist in reviewing budgets for grant applications in partnership with Managing Director and finance.
- Collaborate with staff to obtain necessary information for proposals and reports.
- Tracking grant research and submissions in Green 2.0’s donor database.
- Provide updates and communicate with current funders as needed.
- Advise Managing Director on development strategy and approach for the organization.
- Meeting bi-weekly with Managing Director to discuss strategy, progress, and planning.
Strong Candidates Will Have:
- Demonstrable experience in non-profit grant writing, and securing grants for organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to produce grant proposals that are competitive.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to think strategically about development.
- Experience in the environmental justice and/or racial justice fields helpful, but not a requirement.
Timeline:
This project is expected to take 30-40 hours a month, starting in late June 2024 with a contract through December 2024. Duration can be expanded or contracted based on availability of the consultant and the needs of the organization.
Location: Remote
Budget: Hourly rate of between $50-$100 dependent on experience
