Pay Equity Pledge
The Green 2.0 Pay Equity Pledge is a campaign to increase pay equity for people of color—particularly women of color— in environmental organizations. The wage gap that exists means that women of color make significantly less than their peers. Environmental organizations cannot promote diversity, equity, inclusion, or justice if they are still paying their staff of color, and especially women of color, less than their white or male colleagues.
The Green 2.0 Pay Equity Pledge asks environmental organizations to take the critical step of reviewing the wages of their staff across the key demographics of race, ethnicity, and gender and then taking corrective action to remediate any pay disparities that are found.
STEP 1
Conduct a pay equity analysis of staff compensation to look at differences in compensation in regard to race, ethnicity, and gender.
STEP 2
Collect and analyze relevant data.
STEP 3
Take corrective actions to remediate pay disparities.
The Pledge:
Our organization is committing to conducting a pay equity analysis of staff compensation to look at differences in compensation in regard to race, ethnicity, and gender, to collect and analyze relevant data, and take corrective actions to remediate pay disparities.
