The Green 2.0 2024 Transparency Report, which is published annually to provide the environmental sector with accountability and research on demographic data and equity indicators of non-profit organizations and foundations. Informed by the findings of this report, environmental organizations and the sector as a whole can adopt practices to lead with transparency and maintain a sustained commitment to equity.

Co-hosted with Environmental Leadership Program (ELP), this event features conversations with leaders in the environmental sector about how to implement equitable and successful mentoring practices at your organization.

Young people of color in the environmental movement need spaces to connect and build community together. We believe that representation and inclusivity are vital in the environmental movement, and this event aims to celebrate the power and potential of young people of color in driving change. Together, we can break barriers, challenge the status quo, and create a more equitable and sustainable environmental movement. This networking event was hosted by Green 2.0 and GreenLatinos to celebrate and connect the power of young people of color in the environmental sector.

In honor of Juneteenth, Green 2.0, Hip Hop Caucus, BlackOak Collective and REI Co-op hosted a joyous event in Washington, D.C. honoring community, culture, and the legacy of Black innovation in the environmental movement. It was an evening of networking and meaningful connections as we honor the profound contributions of Black leaders to environmental justice, sustainability and the outdoors.

For the seventh consecutive year, Green 2.0 presents data on the diversity of staff and inclusivity practices of non-profit organizations (“NGOs”) and foundations in the environmental sector. The report will include updated data about the racial and ethnic diversity of environmental organizations’ key decision-makers and staff, and contains new indicators of diversity and inclusion including gender identity, gender identity for staff of color, and disability status.
