Join Green 2.0 and Energy Allies to learn from the expertise of women of color leading the clean energy transition. We need to center diverse perspectives in the just transition to clean energy to rebuild connections, create accountability, and prioritize accessibility to all our communities. Alongside our communities, we’re working to build a new path for renewables that creates a more equitable energy future.

For the sixth consecutive year, Green 2.0 is excited to present the NGO and Foundation Transparency Report Card. This report provides critical data on the diversity found on the staffs and boards of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and foundations. The 2022 report card reflects data collected from NGOs on the number of people of color on their full-time staffs, boards, senior staffs, and heads of organizations, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.

On December 13th, Green 2.0 will release its sixth NGO & Foundation Transparency Report Card. This year’s report will reflect data collected from over 80 environmental NGOs and foundations on the racial and ethnic diversity of their full-time staff, senior staff, heads of organizations, and boards. It will include new diversity, equity and inclusion metrics, and provide comprehensive updates on progress being made in the movement.

Green 2.0 is excited to release the results of our Nationwide Voters of Color Polling Results on Climate Change. This first-of-its-kind poll captures how voters of color are moved by issues such as diversity in environmental groups, candidates addressing climate change, how voters see climate change impacting their communities, and much more. 

Women of color face many obstacles to accessing the outdoors, including a lack of safety, racism, sexism, and distance to outdoor spaces. Research shows that being outdoors can significantly improve the physical and mental health of people, but not everyone has access equally, including women of color and especially Indigenous women, who are often barred from accessing land that belongs to them. Since the outdoors sector has often excluded them, women of color have created their own communities and spaces to help one another heal and connect with nature. When public lands are supposed to be a space for everyone, how do organizations and individuals work to create a more equitable and accessible outdoors? Join Green 2.0 for a discussion with outdoors leaders on why making space for women of color in nature is so important and how we can create welcoming and safe outdoor communities for all.
